NUFFIELD HEALTH
Founded back in the 50s, Nuffield Health is a massive independent charity running dozens of hospitals and over a hundred wellbeing centres across the UK.
Day to day, you’ll find me on the reception desk or teaching Les Mills classes on the studio floor at Nuffield Health. Alongside that, I jumped at the chance to support our club’s internal media, creating everything from digital TV displays to print posters.
Working within Nuffield’s established brand guidelines, I ensured all our in-club visuals were polished, engaging, and welcoming for members walking through the doors. Their mission: building a healthier nation through connected health, fitness, and wellbeing.
LES MILLS LAUNCH
Every three months, Les Mills drops new choreography and music, which, for us instructors, is basically game day.
We spend weeks learning every beat to make that first class unforgettable, so I wanted our club promotion to match that excitement rather than blend into the background.
Working across reception and the studio, I designed a multi-slide digital screen and social campaign for Nuffield Plymouth.
I broke down what made new formats like Shapes and Bodypump Heavy unique, laid out a crystal-clear two-studio schedule, and highlighted booking dates to pack every class.
FEEL FIT IN FEB
Tasked with creating targeted Facebook dark video ads to drive trial day-pass leads for Plymouth and Devonshire, I ran into a hurdle over the weekend: no crew was available to film fresh footage.
Instead of delaying the launch, I improvised by sourcing and editing dynamic, high-energy video clips tailored for silent mobile feeds with bold, clear typography.
Since no bespoke landing page had been built yet, I paired the ad directly with our active day-pass link to keep lead capture smooth, and we hit our regional launch deadline without a hitch.
BRING A FRIEND CAMPAIGNS
Standard referral promos like "Bring a friend for free" can feel transactional. Working on the front desk and studio floor, I knew members responded better to authentic, relatable reasons to share the club.
I developed campaign angles like "Turn workouts into catch-ups", helping busy members fit social time into their gym routines without sacrificing their fitness goals.
When tasked with a Mother’s Day promo, I advocated for a more inclusive approach by opening it up to celebrate maternal figures, guardians, and close mentors so no member felt excluded while still expanding our lead-generation reach.
MOVE MORE IN MARCH
When the regional team needed a fast-turnaround campaign to build on spring fitness momentum, I turned a tight brief into a full creative suite.
I developed assets covering three distinct angles: driving guest pass sign-ups with scannable QR codes, promoting our club Open Weekend, and pushing a member referral prize draw.
By designing flexible layouts that worked across paid Facebook dark ads, reception TV screens, and printed club posters, I ensured the messaging was easy to adapt across multiple sites while staying strictly on-brand.
GOOGLE REVIEWS & MEMBER INTERACTION
Instead of just putting up a generic notice, I designed clean, on-brand posters offering simple perks like a free coffee or a guest pass to encourage members to share their feedback.
The real momentum happened on the studio floor, where I brought that message straight into my Les Mills classes, rallying members right after high-energy workouts when they felt great.
Combining physical signage with genuine, face-to-face conversations paid off fast: our Google rating jumped from 3.4 to 4.0 stars in just two weeks, earning personal recognition from Nuffield Health's COO as a standout achievement for our club.
MORE MOTIVATION IN MAY
(Multi-Pillar Club Campaign) For our May campaign, I created a cohesive set of in-club posters designed to hit different member needs while staying true to Nuffield Health's clean visual identity.
The first poster breaks down the full value of joining by spotlighting the Nuffield Starter Kit, monthly member perks, and hospital discounts to show we are far more than just a gym.
The second focuses on community, inviting members to bring a friend for free over the bank holiday weekend with simple front-desk sign-in instructions.
The third ties into Mental Health Awareness Week, reframing fitness away from intense pressure and focusing instead on how movement makes you feel by encouraging members to book a supportive Kickstart PT session.
FESTIVAL OF FITNESS
(Summer In-Club Campaign) To keep members motivated right through the summer months, I designed a progressive three-part poster series branded as the Festival of Fitness.
Each month had its own distinct colourway and purpose to guide members along their journey: "Join in June" focused on welcoming people into new classes and exploring the club, "Push in July" built momentum around coaching and consistency, and "Feel good August" rounded off the season by celebrating simple movement and healthy routines.
By pairing clear, supportive copy with energetic studio and gym floor photography, I created a structured summer narrative that felt motivating rather than overwhelming.
